Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers understand recreational running with greater care. Send a proposal through the Contact page; a concise, specific pitch is more useful than a complete draft sent without context.
What we are looking for
Propose a clear, evergreen subject connected to routes, gear, training habits, races or running culture. We favour pieces that explain a choice, compare options, clarify a term or explore a tradition. The idea should offer its own distinct point, rather than repeat a familiar list of general tips.
What to include
State the working title, the central idea, the intended reader and the main points the piece would cover. Mention any relevant experience or sources you would draw on, and flag anything that would need verification. Do not send private or confidential material.
Before you pitch
Keep claims proportionate and distinguish general information from personal experience. Avoid performance guarantees or advice that depends on a reader's health, location or individual training circumstances. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option, then make clear that your message is a contribution pitch. Include your proposed angle and enough detail for us to understand what makes it different.
A run is shaped before the first step
The route, the reason for going and the habits around a run all matter. We make those choices easier to see without pretending there is one right way to run.
